Android – Make your phone a WiFi hotspot

If you have an Android phone, here’s how you can make it a WiFi hotspot. It will use your airtime, so be sure you have plenty of airtime on your SIM.

1. From your home screen, swipe down from the top

2. From the menu screen, select the Settings icon.
   
    . 
3. Under Wireless and Networks , select More Networks 
   
    . 
4. Under the Network setting, select Mobile Hotspot 
    . 
5. Turn on the Mobile Hotspot
   
    . 
6. Confirm that you want to turn on the Mobile Hotspot
    
   .
7. Click on the Menu and select Configure to change your wireless settings
   
    . 
8. From the Configure screen, you can select the name of your WiFi Network (SSID) and the password. Then click Save.

NOTE: 

• While your phone’s WiFi hotspot is on, your phone cannot connect to another WiFi hotspot. 
• Using the WiFi hotspot drains your battery, so turn it off when you are not using it
